D
escription

SURFAMARBRE enables to produce cast in place surfaces type "Granito" or "Terrazzo"

      It might be applied:

  • On fresh concrete "SURFAMARBRE F/F", including two components:
Marble aggregates + high performance binding
  •
        Or

  • On old concrete "Resin SURFAMARBRE", including three components:
Resin + Marble aggregates + High performance binding

M
ode of application

Apply SURFAMARBRE on dry concrete, free of oil, grease and dust-free. After a mechanical preparation of the substrate (shotblasting, bush hammering or planing), apply an adhesion of resin SURFACOLLE (0.2 to 0.3 kgkg/m²). After mixing components A+B+C, apply the levelled SURFAMARBRE mortar on the sticky SURFACOLLE, upon guides to respect the selected thickness:

  • Aggregates 0 to 2.5 = thickness 10 mm
  •
  • Aggregates 0 to 5 = thickness 12 mm
  •
  • Aggregates 0 to 8 = thickness 15 mm
  •
  • Aggregates 0 to 16 = thickness 25 mm
  •
  • Aggregates 0 to 25 = thickness 35 mm
  •
  • Aggregates 0 to 40 = thickness 60 mm

After 48 hours of drying time, diamond or stone sand to obtain the required surface grain: honed, thin honed or high-gloss). After the last sanding and 2-3 weeks of drying time, 1 or 2 layers of finishing resin SURFANET E ou SURFANET R may be applied.
Apply SURFAMARBRE F/F on a mortar (thickness 3 to 8 cm) or a fresh first floated concrete (thickness 8 to 30 cm).
Apply the levelled
SURFAMARBRE F/F upon guides to respect the selected thickness:

  • Aggregates 0 to 2.5 = thickness 10 mm
  •
  • Aggregates 0 to 5 = thickness 12 mm
  •
  • Aggregates 0 to 8 = thickness 15 mm
  •
  • Aggregates 0 to 16 = thickness 25 mm
  •
  • Aggregates 0 to 25 = thickness 35 mm
  •
  • Aggregates 0 to 40 = thickness 60 mm

M
ode of application

Apply on old concrete - SURFAMARBRE mortar
After undusting, apply an adhesion primer
SURFACOLLE 0.2 kg to 0.3 kg/m² on old first shotblasted or planed concrete. Apply a decorative mortar type SURFAMARBRE F/F ( LES DURCISSEURS FRANÇAIS) on this sticky primar.
This mortar will consists of marble crushed aggregates, a high-performance binder and a resin.
Sand 24 to 48 hours after floating. Then, after 2 or 3 weeks of drying time, apply 2 layers of finishing resin
SURFANET R ou SURFANET E. The mortar has to show the mechanical and chemical performances defined in the technical datasheet of SURFAMARBRE.
The tint of the background, the aggregates colours, sizes, percentages and sanding fineness rely on the architect's selection.
Expansion joints, contraction joints, insulating and contruction joints will be filled with flexible epoxy mastic (type
SURFAJOINT). They will be straight or chamfered or with prefabricated material depending on the architect. These joints must comply with the instructions of the DTU (Technical Institute for practice).

Apply on fresh concrete - SURFAMARBRE F/F grout
Apply a decorative grout type
SURFAMARBRE F/F ( LES DURCISSEURS FRANÇAIS) on a fresh first floated or planed concrete.
This mortar will consists of marble crushed aggregates, a special coloured binder, resistant to oils and hydrocarbons.
Sand or bush hammer 24 to 48 hours after floating. Then, after 2 or 3 weeks of drying time, apply 2 layers of finishing resin
SURFANET R ou SURFANET E.
The mortar has to show the mechanical and chemical performances defined in the technical datasheet of
SURFAMARBRE.

F
ield of application

All the decorative floors exposed to pedestrian passages andsmall mechanical material: public buildings, department stores, airports, station...

P
ackaging

  • Ready-to-use resin: cubitainers 5, 10 or 20 kg
  •
  • Loadings: sacks 25 to 30 kg or big-bags 800 kg to 1200 kg
  •
  • Storage: 6 months in the original packaging, dry place

J
oints

Le SURFAMARBRE is sticked or incorporated into a screed or concrete slab. These screeds or slabs will be divided by seals: contraction joints, expansion joints, insulating joints, construction joints. These joints must comply with the instructions of the DTU (Technical Institute for practice) or ITBTP (unified code for Building and Public Works) journal applicable to the selected solution.
As written in the DTU 13.3 (chapter 5 page 13) :
"As the cracking of reinforced concrete or not is linked to the kind of material, the aim of the document is to prevent the density and prorogation of cracks without pretending to avoid them".

H
ealth and safety

SURFAMARBRE is a non-dangerous but sticky product; avoid skin contact.

M
aintenance and cleaning of surfaces

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
It is clearly impossible to precisely define the frequency and the cost for cleaning the surface treated with one or another of our products. The maintenance of surface mainly depends on the type and the heaviness of the traffic and stain.
However, whatever the surface is, some basic rules have to be pointed out...
